iQra international Bangladesh team was lucky enough to secure a site from the Government to build facilities for Rohingya Refugees in Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh. Apart from distributing Emergency food packs with your generous donations, iQra was also able to build a medical camp, Islamic center, temporary shelters, 20 toilets and 6 deep tubewells so far in the refugee camp which is known as Shahjalal Rohingya Polli.
Since late August, the situation has worsened dramatically with violent clashes reportedly resulting in over 3,000 dead. The United Nations estimate More than 310,000 people have fled to Bangladesh in recent weeks, with more trapped on the border, amid reports of the burning of villages and extrajudicial killings. Most of the refugees are women and children.
Bangladesh already host to hundreds of thousands of Rohingya who have fled previous outbreaks of violence in Rakhine. Existing refugee camps are full and the new arrivals are sleeping rough in whatever space they can find, Aid agencies say they are in desperate need of food, shelter and medical aid, and that current resources are inadequate.
iQra International would like to stand by with Rohingya refugees with your support. Will you join hands with us to help them to have shelter, Food, Clean water, Prayer facilities, Education and emergency medical treatment?
